These tiny Manx thatched cottages are made by hand on the
potters wheel.
Thrown in a large open circle and then divided into individual
cottages with
their own little personalities. The cottages are made using
speckled, white or
raku clay. An iron oxide wash is applied to the roof to
enhance the thatch
effect which is created on the wheel using clay slip.
Finally they are white
washed with glaze before firing to 1260c.
